As you may realize if you follow my blogs, I'm temporarily living in an RV, in the middle of no-where near Sooke, British Columbia.
The other day, a friend of mine also living in an RV, a few miles down the road on farm land, woke up hearing a car driving into the driveway. Watching from his front windshield, a young pot marked faced man, an obvious meth addict got out of the car and wandered the property.
When my friend confronted the man, the man said he was looking for a spot to park his RV. This was 6 o'clock in the morning. Odd!
Without waiting for a reply he jumped back into his car and backed out of the driveway. My friend realized there was another man pretending to be asleep in the passenger seat. He called me to tell me of his strange encounter.
Coincidentally, on the same day but later in the afternoon a car, (not the same one) pulled into my driveway. A young man with scabs on his face, obviously another meth addict got out and came walking up the long pathway through the bush to my RV, seemingly to be looking around as I secretly watched him from the safety of the RV. I can see who enters my driveway from my back kitchen window. I also can hear the wheels as they grind over the gravel.
He eventually knocked on the door and was surprised someone was inside, when I yelled, Who's there?
When I answered he asked the same question, Was there a spot he could park his RV on the property. He didn't even wait for an answer before he was back in his car backing out the driveway.
Two different people, asking the same question. Strange indeed!
I'm going to be alone up here in the bush for the next couple of days as my partner goes back to Vancouver to do business.
This is what I'm afraid of most, especially at night, not ghosts, not Slenderman, nor Mothman, not even a black bear or a cougar. I'm afraid of a crazed out meth addict coming to rob me. I've heard a meth addict would kill for his next fix.
Luckily, I have Cleo and Patti my dogs for company but I'm sure they'll be as afraid as I.
Should I be afraid? Would you be?
