Harper really must have meant it when he told the world...
"Not in his Government"
I thought he was kidding at first, but have since changed my views.
...which means there will be no legalizing of marijuana, or at least de-criminalizing pot, unless he's in charge.
Harper's plans are to turn the sick and dying into criminals. Yes, you heard me right!
Harper plans to turn the sick and the dying into criminals!
It's estimated that 1/3 of all medical marijuana users will be deemed a criminal, if Harper gets his way.
Let me explain:
There are patients that grow their own medicine at a low cost, one, two or three plants. Everyone is happy.
It's understandable since most patients are on disability, but if things go as Harper wants, these people will have to dismantle their gardens or risk jail time and/or hefty fines.
Hopefully, that's not going to happen! We are not talking about people that have illegal grow-ops and grow houses for profit.
Harper has become the New Drug Lord, taking Marc Emery's status and title, by getting him locked up in prison, in a foreign country.
That game has been played throughout history, as every dictator has done to gain control over his country. Locking up his opponents, then reaping the rewards himself.
After April 1, the only pot that will be legal to use for medical purposes will be; 'Cannabis' grown in newly licensed government controlled companies, meaning they will be supplying all the Compassion Clubs and Marijuana Dispensaries in Canada, plus they will be selling the pot at street prices or higher an obvious cash grab, again; taking from the poor, the sick, the most desperate and most vulnerable.
What's going to happen, if Harpers new laws, come into effect and are enforced?
A lot of people are going to suffer needlessly, which should be reason enough to stop this damaging, and impossible to monitor, takeover.
The police are going to throw up their arms in disbelief, wondering where they're going to come up with the resources to cover the law enforcement necessary to carry out such an agenda. The whole judicial system will get more clogged with dying patients unable to pay fines, needing more costly drug treatments.
People use this medicinal plant for many reasons, some have cancer, or AIDS, or arthritis, muscle pain, epilepsy or migraines and are in real pain. If a doctor prescribes it, and the patient has the resources, and the ability then why can't he grow his own medicine instead of being harassed by our compassionless Conservative Government and their greedy, money grabbing schemes?
This means that 1/3 of the people that need medical marijuana won't be able to afford their medicine, which could lead to more crime. Creating more criminals is not the solution. Mother Teresa would be rolling in her grave if she knew the scale of such a "Crime Against Humanity"
We think sometimes that poverty is only being hungry, naked and homeless. The poverty of being unwanted, unloved and uncared for is the greatest poverty. We must start in our own homes to remedy this kind of poverty.
The only ones that are going to suffer are the sick and dying, Harper is putting their lives in jeopardy.
At Sensible✔BC, the campaign is to hold a referendum, to save taxpayers money, to unclog the courts, and make British Columbia over-all, a safer and better province to live in.
