Love is often represented as Cupid, the naked little fellow with a bow and arrow. It is the intense feeling of deep affection, a deep romantic or sexual attachment to someone, having an interest in, or pleasure in or like very much. We call each other Love, using it in salutations when closing a letter and if you love someone, you even love their faults and weaknesses.
A challenge at times for most of us.
One of the most over-used, abused and least understood word in the English language, Love.
First, to be loved and to be able to love, you need to be loveworthy.
We see love everywhere, take a walk in the park or go to the beach, go to a movie, read a book, a poem, a story. Love is everywhere. Listen to a song, most are written about love, love lost or love gained.
There are many different types of love; romantic love, love of family, love of friends, and love of country to name a few. The bible puts love into two categories, the love between man and God, and the love man has for each other.
Most people expect to be loved by others and believe love is something we should get and deserve, not something we give and that love requires no work on our behalf. But these are misconceptions, love is about giving and is definitely hard work. All the different bibles from all the different religions tell us not to do some things with love but to do everything with love. Is it impossible? Actually to love your enemies?
To love, is a life choice, you either love or you don't. If you love you will reap the benefits with what love gives back in return.
"You reap what you sow"
Don't love and see what you get in return, the choice is yours.
